Before-and-after galleries are useful, but they must be read critically. Someone else's result is a guide, not a promise of your own.
Using galleries well
- Look for patients with a similar starting point — body type, breast size, tissue and any sagging.
- Check that photos are consistent (same angles, lighting, posture, neutral background).
- Ask whether images are unedited and the patient's own.
- Note the implant choice and placement used to achieve each result.
Red flags
Be wary of only "perfect" results, inconsistent photography, or galleries used to pressure you. Reputable surgeons show a realistic range, including how results look over time, not just freshly post-op. Your outcome depends on your anatomy, healing and the surgical plan agreed with your surgeon.
