Returning to exercise too soon risks bleeding, swelling and implant movement. A staged approach protects your result.

Typical staging

  • Days 1–14: gentle walking only.
  • Weeks 2–4: light lower-body cardio may be allowed; no chest or heavy lifting.
  • Weeks 4–6: gradual increase in lower-body and light activity.
  • After ~6 weeks: progressive return to upper-body and chest work, with surgeon approval.

Special note for chest exercises

With submuscular placement, heavy chest training can accentuate animation deformity. A good sports bra and gradual progression are important. Always get your surgeon's clearance before resuming intense training.
