Breast augmentation with a lift — technically "augmentation-mastopexy" — combines an implant (for volume and upper-pole fullness) with a breast lift (mastopexy) that removes excess skin and raises the nipple position.
Who it suits
It is for patients who want more volume and have significant sagging (ptosis), where an implant alone would not lift the breast or reposition the nipple. Common after pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight loss.
Considerations
- More extensive scars than augmentation alone (often around the areola and down the breast).
- A more complex operation that balances two opposing forces — adding volume while tightening skin.
