Extra high profile (sometimes "ultra high") implants have the narrowest base and the greatest projection, producing the most pronounced, rounded result for a given volume.
Who chooses them
They appeal to patients wanting maximum projection, or those with a very narrow chest where a wider implant simply would not fit. The look is fuller and more obviously enhanced.
Trade-offs
Very high projection places more stress on the lower breast over time and, on thin tissue, can make rippling or implant edges more noticeable. As projection increases, careful planning and realistic expectations matter even more. Discuss longevity and tissue support with your surgeon.
