Knowing roughly what each week brings makes recovery less anxious. Individual experiences vary, so treat this as a general map.
Week 1
Rest, manage pain, keep mobile with short walks. Breasts feel tight and sit high. Sleep on your back, slightly propped.
Week 2
Soreness eases; many return to light/desk work. Continue the support bra and avoid lifting and chest exertion.
Weeks 3–4
Energy returns; gentle lower-body exercise may be allowed. Swelling reduces and implants begin to soften and settle.
Weeks 5–6
Many resume most normal activities and, with surgeon approval, gradual upper-body exercise.
Weeks 7–12
Implants continue to drop and fluff; the shape looks increasingly natural. Most restrictions lift by around 6 weeks but follow your surgeon's timeline.
