Dual Plane II involves a moderate degree of release of the muscle from the overlying gland, allowing the breast tissue to move further over the lower part of the implant than in Dual Plane I.

Who it suits

Dual Plane II is often selected for breasts with slightly looser tissue or a small degree of sagging, or where the gland is more mobile. It helps the lower pole fill out and reduces the risk of the implant and breast tissue moving as separate units.

The choice between Dual Plane I, II and III is made by the surgeon during assessment and surgery based on your tissue. See muscle release explained.
